Eric Bishop is vice president of research and development at Cygnus Technologies, where he leads the research and development team and oversees new product development and custom development services. With 27 years of experience in HCP analytics, Eric joined Cygnus Technologies in 2010, bringing a wealth of knowledge from his previous roles in R&D at several biopharmaceutical companies.
Before Cygnus, Eric spent eight years at AstraZeneca (formerly MedImmune) from 2002 to 2010. During his time there he had multiple roles, including HCP assay development, tech transfer, and serving as an analytical representative on CMC teams, where he guided projects from IND to BLA submissions. He also led the new technology development group. Prior to AstraZeneca, Eric worked at CropTech Development from 1998 to 2002, where he was involved in characterization of recombinant proteins produced in plants.
