Chad Schwartz, PhD, is the Senior Global Product Manager for the Proprietary Cell Culture Media Formulations product line at Thermo Fisher Scientific. He earned his BS in both agricultural biotechnology and biology from the University of Kentucky in 2008 and his doctorate from that school's pharmaceutical sciences program in 2013. His dissertation focused on the mechanistic and biochemical studies of bacteriophage Φ29. In 2013, he became a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Davis, studying prostate cancer, making use of a number of cell culture methods and techniques, including cell line development and end-product optimization. In 2014, Chad became a Senior Application Scientist at Beckman Coulter, followed quickly by accepting a new role as Global Product Manager in Beckman's centrifugation business unit. Remaining with Danaher in 2018, Chad changed operating companies to Pall Corporation to take over management of Pall's filtration product lines and then assumed his current position at Thermo Fisher in early 2020. Chad has coauthored 13 publications and has provided many seminars at a number of scientific conferences and events.
