Jan Ott earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biotechnology at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Köthen, Germany) between 2013 and 2019. After he completed his master’s thesis at the Centre for Biochemical Engineering and Cell Cultivation Technique at the ZHAW in Wädenswil in Switzerland, he became a PhD student at Technische Universität Berlin in Germany. He currently works as a research associate at the ZHAW, specializing in animal cell cultivation techniques and single-use systems, process development, process intensification, and scale-up.
