Deborah Pascoe, PhD, is the VP of Operations at Culture Biosciences, a digital biomanufacturing company that helps scientists accelerate bioprocess development with its high-throughput bioreactor cloud lab. Throughout her career she has focused on solving complex cross-disciplinary problems and developing people and ideas.
Dr. Pascoe spent over a decade at Genentech in process development and manufacturing sciences and technology, leading process development and manufacturing support for many commercial and clinical biopharmaceuticals. Her additional experience includes leading operations at genetic-testing pioneer 23andMe and founding a biotech company to develop microbiome therapeutics. After those ventures, Dr. Pascoe moved into high-throughput microbial and mammalian cell culture, leading a variety of technical areas at Zymergen and as VP of Operations at System1 Biosciences. At Culture Biosciences, Dr. Pascoe is responsible for bioprocess operations, client success, and all business operations.
Dr. Pascoe holds a Bachelor of Engineering from The University of Queensland in her native Australia and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.
