Vipul Saxena is a seasoned biopharma professional with over a decade of expertise in upstream cell culture media and process development. As subject matter expert, global media solutions at Lonza Biosciences, he leads technical excellence and business strategy across India and the Middle East, supporting media solutions for protein therapeutics, vaccines, and cell & gene therapy.

Vipul brings end-to-end comprehension and proven expertise of upstream cell culture within CDMO and product based environments, serving as the key technical interface for clients, auditors and production teams. His experience spans process development, consistency, scale-up/scale-down, technology transfer, and biologics manufacturing. Prior to joining Lonza, he worked as an R&D scientist at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Stelis Biopharma, where he led the development of antibody, enzymes, and vaccine-based therapeutics. His efforts played a key role in advancing scalable bioprocessing strategies and achieving regulatory milestones. In addition, Vipul has transitioned R&D products to market, including regulatory approvals for human use. Outside of work, Vipul enjoys trekking, photography, traveling, and is an avid movie buff.
