Kathleen Kenney has been in the industry for over 12 years after graduating with a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. The majority of her experience has been with WuXi Advanced Therapies in the Virology and Viral Clearance departments. She has spent numerous years in the laboratory developing a deep technical understanding of the biological assays used in safety testing. She has managed viral clearance studies as either the scientist/study director and as the department’s manager since 2015. She is currently the Associate Director of Viral Clearance and oversees the strategic design of viral validations as well as the individuals within the department.

Chris Manzari has worked in the biopharma industry since 1999 when he worked for Medarex (now Bristol Myers Squibb) as an Associate Scientist in the Downstream Purification Group. Since then, he has taken on many different roles both inside and outside the lab. Some of his more notable roles were as a Technical Specialist and then Product Manager for Process Chromatography Media at Tosoh Bioscience, LLC. Chris is now the manager for VC-DSP and Virus Production in the Viral Clearance Group at WuXi Advanced Therapies. He currently manages a team of 10 scientists and technicians.
